PHOTOSHOP...

Today we had a go at using Photoshop, our task was to create an image using the different layers and cut tools to piece together one final image that looks like a book with a spine that is about cooking. The image was of a Crab on a plate, we had to cut out the crab and paste it to a new piece of canvas and tidy up the edges. We then cut out a separate piece of lemon and added that to the document, on a new layer. We pasted two of the lemons so that one could go either side. I used the Quick selection tool to cut out the crab because i find it is easier to be able to get a more accurate cut out. However i used the Elliptical marquee tool to cut out the lemon because it is circular and is easier to cut out that way. We then added a separate piece of canvas for the spine of the book and made that a different colour. Once the whole image was together we added effects to it. I added texture to mine. I then added text, the title 'Creole Classics' and placed it in the middle of the page. My first Photoshop project was complete!
