Readers of Unplugged will have grown up in a post-feminist era and therefore expect equality with members of the opposite sex, they are mainly mainstreamers, explorers and aspirers who will be willing to try new things (such as Unplugged) and look at the celebrities featured in Unplugged as role models. They have a strong sense of fashion and are always looking to get the newest phones and gadgets. Form and Style
Unplugged is an A4 full colour magazine, which has a classic, vintage tone to it. It contains the latest music artist gossip, news, interviews and Gig reviews. Covers use models who are admired by the readers, celebrity endorsement is commonly used. the celebrity would generally be suitable for a role model, or an attractive male artist such as justin timberlake. Bright colours are also used to grab the readers attention, reds and yellows clash but this increases the brightness and will make the magazine more easily noticed. Cover Lines show the magazine to be contemporary and loud, including details from the latest bands and artist interviews and deals for music shops such as HMV, and competitions. Graphics used are bold and catchy and the cover will have a classic feel to give the audience the feel of value. Unplugged will sell at £2.99, an average price for a music magazine which is affordable.

Themes and Typical features
Every issue of Unplugged will have features which are typical of music magazines, the latest celebrity news, upcoming tour dates, festivals, competitions, interviews etc.. There will be an equal focus on males and females because Unplugged appeals to both men and women. There will be a strong reader influence with awards (such as best newcomer etc..) voted for and nominated by the readers. Articles about bands from the past will feature every week in our 'blast from the past' article which will take readers back a few years to artists that were number 1's and see what theyare doing now... a sort of, 'where are they now?' article. It will attract older readers as well as younger ones who are interested in the vintage sound. Writers will use language familiar to the target audience to make the magazine as interesting as possible.
