PHOTOGRAPHY.

When taking a photo, you have to think about many aspects which make or break your photo.
  • Lighting - where the shadows fall and how much of the model is exposed to full light.
  • Colours  -Is the picture going to be B&W or Colour? What colours? Bright or dull? What effect will this give the overall tone of the picture?
  • Texture - what textures will feature in the photo and what tone will this give it?
  • Tone- The tone of the image, how does it make you feel?
  • Foreground - What is in the foreground? Is it eyecatching?
  • Background - What is in the background? what does it tell you about the setting? Does it add to the tone of the picture?
  • Angles - What angles are used? how does it add to the tone of the image? high or low?
  • Framing - Is there a frame within a frame? What does this do to the image?
  • Lines and Shapes - Are there lots of lines and shapes in the image? Are they part of the scenery?
I looked at Photographer, RANKIN because he uses lighting really interestingly. This picture of Drew Barrymore

I would like to use this kind of lighting, but with the model facing me instead, i think this could give my magazine cover a really interesting and vintage tone.
